I am a proud volunteer at Wild At Heart, a wildlife refuge centre in Northern Ontario, Canada. Every year we take in hundreds of injured and orphaned animals, from small birds to large moose, and nurse them back to health. I recently started making videos for our education program that teaches both students and the public how we care for the animals. Growing up around dogs and horses, my love for animals has always been very strong. I always knew that I wanted to help injured, orphaned and abused animals, so having the opportunity to save our local wildlife brings me so much joy. Volunteering has made me a much more compassionate person and I hope to one day start my own rescue foundation for both domestic and wild animals.
